Beth L. DuPont, 63; of Loretto, MN; died in her home Wednesday, May 4th, 2022. A celebration of life was held at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chaska, MN on Sunday, June 5th, 2022. Born Elizabeth Louisa Davis on January 9th, 1959, in Minneapolis, MN; she was the youngest of three children born to Donald “Shorty” and Wilma “Zetta” (Ham) Davis and was later adopted by Maurice “Lefty” Hyde. Her start to life wasn’t easy, but she overcame the early difficulties she faced. Beth was artistic and free-spirited in nature. As a young girl, she was always bringing home injured and orphaned animals, caring for them, and sometimes training them. Her pets ranged from a monkey named Captain to cats, dogs, snakes, and even a sewer rat named Ben. She attended and graduated from Osseo Senior High in 1977. Beth loved her children and being a mom. She also had a love for animals, especially horses, and being active in nature. She enjoyed gardening, rock climbing, swimming, canoeing, fishing, camping, hiking, riding horses, archery, or just sitting in front of a campfire. Beth pursued horse training, culinary arts, and architectural drafting as careers throughout her life. |

Left to cherish her memory are her four children: Shawn (Nicole) Hyde of Bigfork, MN; Tia DuPont of Shakopee, MN; Cole DuPont of Shakopee, MN; Sari DuPont of Shakopee, MN; grandchildren Maurice, Vianne, Kahlyn, Serenity, and Aspen; two sisters, Donetta “Dolly” (Dan) Engstrand of Coon Rapids, MN and Trudy (Ken) Dumkrieger of Tucson, Arizona; several nieces and nephews; and the friends she made everywhere she went. In death, she rejoins her parents Maurice “Lefty” and Wilma “Zetta” (Ham) Hyde. |
